End of Term 2!!

Term 2 Videos from the End of Term Assembly on Monday:

For our last day of term we had a special surprise after morning tea through the rest of the day. Room 1 played pass the parcel and in each layer there was an activity or challenge they needed to complete. There were things from making creations out of Plasticine, making a 'baby' from a pipe cleaner and looking after it for the day, working in teams to solve puzzles, marching baby animal names and more! Here are some photos below.

I was also given a special treat from the class of a book Mrs Steenkamp put together with the class of stories about 'Mrs Coe' as well as pictures of her with my baby in my tummy! The originals are in the classroom - be sure to lift the tummy flaps!

A huge thank you for all the love, kind words and gifts for baby Coe and myself! My heart is feeling very full and and sad at the same time - I will miss seeing you all each day but am excited about this next part of my journey. I look forward to seeing you around town, saying hi and will pop in to school once bubs is born too!!
Have a wonderful break with your families, you all deserve some down time, with the added bonus of being able to get out and do things as a family (as apposed to our lockdown break last term).
Much love, Melissa Coe

After lunch Gianna came to Room 1 to teach us Sign Language to a Māori song we have learnt to help us learn colours, the weather and numbers. After she left, to help us remember, we decided to make a video to help us remember!
Thank you Gianna!!

It was so good to see so many smiling faces back in Room 1 today after such a long time!
Welcome to Olivia having her first day at school this year after not seeing her since T4! We also enjoyed having Nehemiah join us for another visit before starting soon!

For maths today we looked at teen and twenty numbers and made number chains that we could hang up in the classroom to see the growing pattern.
For reading and writing today we did lots of talking about the time while we were at home and made a book together. The children each got a copy of this story to take home and keep.

Below is also the copy of the notices sent home today.

Please remember to send reading and writing books back to school if you haven't already. Thanks.
