World Nursery Rhyme Week!
This week is World Nursery Rhyme week! For those children who are in Room 1 for reading we will be doing shared reading around a Nursery Rhyme each day. At the beginning of the week the children received a book with all of the week’s poems in it. Please ensure this comes back to school each day and then the children can keep it at the end of the week.
Below are the audio (song versions) of the rhymes and some pictures we did as a class. I aim to add to this post as the week goes on.
Monday: Baa baa black sheep
Monday we spent lots of time talking around rhymes and worked out words we knew that rhymed with other words. Then we read through the rhyme for the day looking for words that rhymed and unpacking the meaning of some of the unfamiliar words.
Tuesday: Down in the Jungle
Wednesday: Incy Wincy Spider
Thursday: Row Row Row Your Boat
Friday: Two Little Dickie Birds
Aroha, Mōhio, Manaaki, Pānga
Love, Know, Serve, Impact
Ensure you check your child's home communication book each night and sign any notes. Also use this book to write any notes or information useful for me to know regarding your child, alternatively email me using the link below.
