Kia ora koutou,
Our Matariki celebration will be held at ACS on Wednesday, 1st July, from 5.30 to 7.00pm.
We are inviting volunteers from our school community who would be willing to prepare a bite-sized taste of their culture to share during the evening.
If you are interested in being involved or would like more information, please email r.proffit@acs.school.nz by the end of this week.
Nga mihi,
Rebekah Proffit

Kia ora whānau,
Get ready for our Anything But a School Bag Day tomorrow Friday, 12th June! Due to library and other factors, Year 0-2 will not be participating.
Students are invited to bring their books and equipment in a creative alternative to a traditional school bag. This is a fun opportunity to show off your creativity while enjoying a day of school spirit. Please ensure that all items brought are safe, practical, and appropriate for the school environment. Also a gold coin donation is appreciated, in aid of St Vincent de Paul.
Please note that students are to wear ACS winter school uniform as usual.
Ngā mihi nui,

Dear Parents and Caregivers
The children have been working very hard on their choral pieces as we get ready to take part in the Ashburton Music Festival. A reminder to book tickets for Tuesday 16 June to avoid disappointment. Videos and photos are not permitted at this event, however, there are DVDs or USB copies of the festival available to purchase. If you would like to order a video, please fill in the attached order form and ensure it is returned to the office with the payment by Thursday 25 June.

Kia ora Parents and Caregivers,
This is to inform you that all lead and supporting roles, and ALL dancers are required to attend a rehearsal this Monday evening from 6:00 - 8:00pm. We are also needing ALL the Cruelies (students will know who they are) on Monday from 6:00–6:30 pm.
This rehearsal is an important opportunity for us to work through key scenes and choreography as we continue preparing for the production.
If you are able to stay and lend a hand on Monday, we would greatly appreciate help with props. Please join the team in Room 22 while the rehearsal is taking place. Any assistance would be very much appreciated.
Please also note that Thursday rehearsals will now run from 3:30–6:00 pm. This extended rehearsal time will allow us to make better progress on some of the larger scenes. If your child has an after-school job, please ask them to notify their workplace of this change as soon as possible.
We are also still looking for people with sewing skills who may be willing to help with costumes. If you know of anyone who could assist, please get in touch. Your support would make a huge difference to our production team.
Thank you for your ongoing support. We look forward to seeing everyone there.
Kind regards,
Mrs Fox and Mrs Wigram
Parents, please support our local businesses
