Kia ora parents/caregivers,

We had a great start to our rehearsals on Monday, thank you for getting your child there on time.  You can find a detailed breakdown of the scenes your child will need to rehearse here Cast and Scene Breakdown on Sheet 2. You are welcome to print this out if needed, however, please note there may be some changes as we get to the end of the term.  You will be informed of these in good time. 

Students have also been sent the link via Google Classroom, and a hard copy has been posted outside Room 22 to view.  If you would like to join your child's Google Classroom, please let Mrs Fox know and an invitation to join will be emailed to you.

Please remember that your child only needs to attend rehearsals for the scenes they are scheduled to be in.

Thursday rehearsal reminder: Students are welcome to wait at school after the final bell before practice begins. Please ensure they pack extra food and a water bottle to keep them going. Room 22 will be available for any students who need to heat up food or keep warm before rehearsal begins.

Students may wear comfortable mufti suitable for moving around.

Dear Students and Parents/Caregivers 

Year 12 and 13 students will be going to the Rotary Youth Driving Awareness Programme. Students will need to make their own way to the Hotel and back home afterwards.

Goal: To reduce youth road trauma by educating young people on risk awareness, fatigue, speed, and distractions.

Background: The program is run by Road Safety Education (RSE) and often supported locally by Rotary Clubs.

Focus: It aims to target students at a crucial time when they are starting to drive independently or as passengers with novice drivers. 

Day:             Tuesday 28 April 2026

Time:           9am-2pm

Venue:         Hotel Ashburton, Racecourse Road, Ashburton

Kia ora Parents and Caregivers,

We are excited to be starting with our first production rehearsal tonight from 6:00–8:00pm in Room 23. All cast are expected to attend.

Just a reminder, these are our scheduled rehearsal times. Please note one small change. On Thursdays we will be starting at 3:30. Students may wait after school for this if needed.

MONDAY 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Room 2, 22, 23

THURSDAY 3:30 - 6:00 pm, Room 2, 22, 23

As we get into rehearsal this term, please ensure you child checks the rehearsal schedule weekly, as it will be updated regularly. If your child's scene is not being rehearsed, they do not need to attend that session. At the start of the term, we have tried to schedule all the ensemble rehearsals on Thursdays only, however the rest of the lead and supporting roles as well as dancers will need to be at both practices. This will change as the term progresses, so please regularly refer to the schedule. Students can access the schedule at any time through Google Classroom.

Students may wear mufti to rehearsals—please come in comfortable clothing suitable for movement.

It is very important that students attend all rehearsals they are required for. If there is a reasonable reason they are unable to attend, please let us know in advance.
