This Week’s Focus:
We continued working on learning the harmonies for the songs practiced this week and blocking the scenes rehearsed.
Next week:
See the highlighted rehearsal schedule here: Rehearsal
Things to note:
· IMPORTANT CHANGE – Thursday’s Rehearsals
We have decided to shorten our Thursday rehearsals from 3:30 – 5:00pm.
This decision has been made due to how tired the students have been this week, as well as the amount of sickness currently going around. We want to ensure students can still rehearse effectively while also looking after their wellbeing.
Thank you for your understanding and support. We will still have 3 shorter sessions, 25 minutes each. Please refer to the schedule.
Please also note that Mrs Wigram will only be running one singing session, as she will be away on a course for the remainder of the afternoon.
· Remember, Room 22 is available for students who would like to warm up any food or top up their water bottles after school on Thursday while they wait for rehearsals to start.
How You Can Support at Home:
Please continue supporting your child with learning their lines at home.
Thank you for your ongoing support.

Week 2:
This Week’s Focus:
Developing voice, movement and space through blocking out various scenes, learning breathing techniques, and the different parts of songs practiced.
Next week:
See the highlighted rehearsal schedule here: Rehearsal Schedule
Things to note:
· Monday Rehearsals are mostly for lead, supporting roles and dancers, with ensemble joining them nearer the end of the term.
· Thursday Rehearsals are for the whole cast – please refer to the schedule. If your child’s scene is not being rehearsed, they are not required to attend.
· Remember, Room 22 is available for students who would like to warm up any food or top up their water bottles after school on Thursday while they wait for rehearsals to start.
How You Can Support at Home:
Please remind your child to join the Google Classroom using the code hjho7bxd if they have not already done so. All backing tracks for the songs have now been uploaded, so students can practise their songs and learn their lines at home.
By next Thursday, students are expected to be off-script for the songs and scenes they have been practising.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
Ngā mihi,
Delia Fox & Lynn Wigram
