Week 10 already!
As we head into Week 10, the excitement is really building as our Narnia production date draws closer. This week, we will continue refining songs and dances. A huge thank you to all the parents and helpers who volunteered at last Monday's props-making working bee. It was an incredible show of support, and thanks to everyone's efforts, we were able to complete a large number of jobs. There will be another working bee during tonight's rehearsal for anyone who is able to come along—we would greatly appreciate any help. Thank you for your continued support and encouragement; it truly makes this wonderful experience possible for our students.
This week:
See the updated rehearsal schedule here: Rehearsal Schedule
Please be aware that ALL the cast will be needed on MONDAY 29th June from 6:00 - 8:00pm (Last week of school).
Things to note:
PRAYER COVERING:
As we continue preparing for our production of Narnia, we would greatly value your prayers. Please pray for the health and wellbeing of our cast, crew, musicians, and volunteers, for energy and focus during rehearsals, and for unity and encouragement amongst everyone involved. There is still a significant amount of work to be done, and time is ticking on. Please pray that the production will be a joyful and memorable experience for our students, and that through this story, all involved will feel encouraged and inspired. Thank you for covering our production team in prayer as we journey towards performance week.
SEWING MACHINE NEEDED:
Can you help? We have lots of costumes to sew and a capable parent has volunteered but needs a sewing machine to use. Do you have one we can borrow? Please get in touch. Thank you.
PROPS NEEDED:
As we continue preparing for our production, we are looking to borrow artificial Christmas trees to help create the magical winter setting on stage. We would love to borrow a variety of sizes, ranging from 5 feet to 9 feet tall.
Any trees loaned to us will be carefully looked after and clearly labelled so they can be returned to their owners after the production.
To create the snowy effect, we may need to use fake snow spray on some of the trees. If you are happy for your tree to have this applied, please let me know. If you would prefer not to use snow spray, we would still be very grateful to borrow your tree and will use an alternative method to achieve the same effect.
If you are able to help, please contact me with the size of the tree you have available.
We are also needing to borrow a pouf / small ottoman - preferable leather or green/brown/red/golden colours. If you have something you think might be suitable, please be in touch.
Thank you
How You Can Support at Home:
Please continue supporting your child with learning their lines at home. All the backing tracks have been uploaded to Google Classroom, so students have access to all the songs and dances they are learning. Students will be script free from the holidays on to ensure that we get the best practise out of our rehearsal times. Thank you for your ongoing support.
Ngā mihi,
