Dear Parents and Caregivers,

I hope you all had a restful holiday break.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended our holiday rehearsals. They were incredibly beneficial and rewarding, and we made excellent progress. We worked through many scenes with live piano accompaniment, which took time but was invaluable in helping students develop confidence with the music and staging. Many students were also fitted for their costumes, with just a few costumes still to be finalised.

I would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the volunteers who gave their time to our working bees, whether sewing costumes, making props, or helping in other ways. We simply couldn't stage this production without your generous support, and we are so grateful for everything you do.

With only five weeks to go until opening night, rehearsals this term are extremely important. We ask that all cast members make every effort to attend all scheduled rehearsals as we bring the show together.

Our regular rehearsal times are:

Mondays: 6:00–8:00 pm
Thursdays: 3:30–6:00 pm

Each Friday, I will email the rehearsal schedule for the following week, so please keep an eye out for these updates.

We will also be continuing our Monday evening working bees to help finish the remaining props, costumes, and stage sets. If you are available to help with making stage sets, painting masks, sewing costumes, or any other production jobs, we would greatly appreciate your support. Every helping hand makes a real difference and helps bring this production to life. Thank you in advance for your continued generosity.

This week's rehearsal focus:
Monday 6:00-8:00pm : Act 2, Scenes 4, 5  (All Cast needed)
Thursday 3:30-6:00pm : Act 2, Scenes 6, 7 & 8  (All Cast needed)

Performance Details
Thursday 20 August – 6:30 pm
Friday 21 August – 6:30 pm
Venue: Ashburton Event Centre

Tickets go on sale this Monday and can be purchased directly from the Ashburton Event Centre.
Please encourage your family and friends to come along and support our wonderful cast. The students have been working incredibly hard over the past few months, and we are excited to share all of their dedication and talent with our community. It is shaping up to be a fantastic production, and we can't wait for everyone to see it!

Toilet Paper Fundraiser

Ashburton Christian School have opted into a fundraising opportunity that anyone can participate in. Purchase toilet paper online by following the link and the school will receive 10%.
All money raised will go towards opportunities and school activities. This year it will go towards ACS Netball.
